XP is working fine w/ new mobo and cpu??

So I installed a new motherboard and CPU, and from what I heard you had to re-install windows. However, windows XP worked fine. I installed the drivers from the motherboard's CD.

Should I have done different?

I have right now:
Intel core 2 duo 3.0GHz
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L
4 gigs of corsair ddr2 800 ram

what I had before:
AMD X2 4400
Asus A8N-SLI motherboard
2 gigs of DDR PC3200 ram from adata
 
Might have worked if you never installed the drivers for the old motherboard. Otherwise, doubt it.
 
If you had a similar or same chipset mobo before, then this is not extraordinary....

<edit> nevermind, just saw what you had before and what you got now....strange.
 
Wow..... if it's really running okay... weird. I have never seen anything like that before, and I have to agree that you have been lucky so far indeed.....

I would reinstall clean if it was my machine, but that's just me I guess...
