XP Install disc scratched bad.. options?

No floppydrive for boot disks either....

I tried to install it via winnt32.exe under vista's command prompt , but on restart it says "Operating System failure", so no go

How can I get XP back on my system with a bad disc?
Is there any type of XP startup disk for flash-drives or any DOS startup for flash drive software?

I have a backup copy of the XP disc on another disc but it is not bootable

Any help? The system currently has Vista

this is lame,but the best i can due,next to bying xp again.go to wall-mart are some place like that and buy one of those cheap cd repair kits and give it a go.sorry.peace

Just download nite.

You said you have a backup of the disk, but non bootable.

Copy the folder over onto your HDD.

Load nLite and apply your hotfixes and SP2.

Do any tweaking you see fit.

Make bootable ISO

Burn ISO

Go from there.

the name of the program is nLite.

and i don't think nlite will help with an unreadable cd.
