XP hangs on "Loading Personal Settings"

As of today, for some reason every time i boot my computer, it hangs on the "Loading Personal Settings" portion of the boot for about 20-30. The only significant thing I've done recently is install AVG Free Edition.

It's not like i have a slow computer either, specs are:

Core 2 duo e6600 (overclocked to 2.97)
Asus p5w DH Deluxe
2gb Corsair DDR2 800

Is there any way to increase the speed of the "Loading Personal Settings" portion of the boot, or the boot entirely?
