the drive is detected in my bios, but xp doesnt post it when i go into 'My Computer'. it was working just fine yesterday, then the problem started this morning when i turned on my computer. i did get a new rounded ide cable a couple weeks ago, could that be the problem?

i swapped out the rounded ide cable, but its still the same thing. the bios detect it, i can boot from it, but xp just isnt detecting it. what could the problem be?

i think i found what the problem is. i went into device manager and under cd drive its has lite-on cd rw with a little yellow error indicator next to it. so i went into properties and under drivers it has this error

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

i just cleaned out a bunch of trojans the other day and upgraded to sp2, something must have gotten corrupted. anyone know where i can get these drivers manuely?
