wow....i'm really starting to hate fucking computers. today i was reinstalling xp on my main pc and then when it gets to 34min left BOOM! out of no where, BSOD. WTF!! i scream...
there it says

bad_pool_caller

and i'm like to my self. okay lets restart the pc. so i go and do the installation all over again. and BOOM! again another BSOD with the same error. i start thinking what may be the problem so i take out the videocard and replace with a crappy 16mb agp and BOOM! again. wtf?? i do the sasme with a 8gb harddrive and BOOM again.. omg
so i put back all the regular peices and do mem test and no errors. thank God!
and i borrow my friends xp cd (i couldnt get to the ponit where you enter the cdkey so it doesnt matter) and same shit with his xp cd. wtf?
so i install windows 2000 and it works like a charm...but i FUCKING HATE windows 2000 interface, so lame and boring!!! what the fuck can be the problem?
 
Story time:

I had this old motherboard (Athlon TBird, PC133 ram) that used to run WinXP no problems. After a bios flash, the computer would start bsod'ing at random. Did some research into this phenomenon and found out it was something with the motherboard and how WinXP does hardware layers or some junk. Anyhow, like you, I could install every other operating system known to man, except WinXP and it would work.

Hopefully, someone has a real answer for this one, but just thought I'd share this.
 
system specs please...

first off, goto your motherboard makers site and look at the changelogs in the bios releases. see if a newer bios fixes any problems related to windows xp. if you dont find anything there, go into your bios and try disabling plug and play awareness, and assign irq's manually.
