I searched but couldn't find an answer, in short: has anyone had any trouble with the XP-90C due to its weight? I'm gonna receive mine tomorrow but I'm getting paranoid of the weight. Can most boards withstand that much weight? Specs in sig.
 
i haven't had any problems with it. You shouldn't have any trouble at all....i didn't think it was that heavy
 
I know that most motherboards say they have a weight limit of something like 300-400 grams for the HSF assembly, but obviously that's not true. I guess it's more of a weight suggestion, or all the the manufacturer is responsible for. I've also noticed that some HSF manufacturers reccomend not moving the system after attaching a big heatsink. I wonder if there's a way to attach the backplate to the mobo tray or something so its not hanging directly off the mobo or socket?
 
yea i havent had problems with mine, and i lugged mine all the way from Atlanta Georgia to Toronto Ontario ;) no problems whatsoever
 
Just don't ship your computer UPS with the heatsink on and you will be fine.
