XP-90 Or Freezer 64?

I have a 939 athlon 3000+ winny......I need a new heatsink, which of the two would be my best bet? my processor stays at 2.25 ghz.....It needs to be pretty quiet :)
 
If your mb can support it, I would say the XP-120...
 
hey. i asked aboutt the xp-90 and the freezer, there is nothing about the 120 in this post. please stay on topic.
 
depends right? if u want quiet i ll look at the freezer
but if ure ok with around 30-40 dba for normal 90mm fan then i ll go with xp 90 u ll get like 2-3 degrees cooler then the freezer
 
There are quieter 92mm fans out there, like the Nexus, SilenX, or a low speed Panaflo. I think the increased surface area would give the XP-90 a big advantage over the freezer.
 
if u lose a low fan for xp 90 the performance wont really show, if id rather get the freezer then rather get xp 90 with a weak fan... dont get a tornado with a fan controller, many people cant handle the sound level with the tornado turned down.... its not made for quiet its made for airflow

i do agree if u get a xp 90 get a m1a (medium rpm panaflo)
 
im in the minority here: Freezer 64

its just not as popular yet, thats why. Its results are stellar


It actually has larger heatpipes than the XP120.

And is much cheaper, I dont think you can go wrong.
