Also, the XP-90 is much lighter than the Zalman so you won't have to worry about any added stress to your mobo...

BTW, I'm using the XP-90 with a 92mm Vantec Tornado on my P4 2.8c overclocked to 3.33Ghz. I know it's loud but at least my temps are great!
 
personally, i'd go for the 7700-alcu, i know you linked the all copper version.
 
I have the XP-90, and it performs quite well. Load temps not over 50 celsius with 2500 mhz on my Winchester 3000+ @ 1.66 volts.
 
I just bought an XP-90. Haven't gotten it yet to tell you how it performs. So chalk another one up for the Thermalright.
 
im the same boat as you. i just got my xp-90 and vantec SCREAMER!!! i cant wait for it to arrive/thrash my eardrums. ohh man, my load temps will be in the low to mid forties! i cant wait! and you should never be idle, unless your encoding video or playing games. FAH all day every day! chalk one up for thermalright
 
Yah I"m going to be getting an xp-90 too. Only thing I don't like about it, is that for the price of that one heatsink, you can get the Zalman. :rolleyes:
 
mickey, i got a secret way to get the xp90 for 25, yes 25 bucks! go to svc and enter the code xp90 and it takes 15 bucks off the price of the heatsink. i can thank a fellow [H]ardocer for that bit of advice.
 
I just ordered a day or two ago and it only took $10 off. Is it really $15 now? Damnit.
 
The XP-90 is getting more votes simply because its more popular. I think that your overclock will be determined by all other statistics other than temps, because both heatsinks perform very well and heat is not much of a hurtle for these Winchesters.

Thus, I'll vote for the 7700 just to help even things out and will say you should decide based on your own whim. Look at cost, size, appearance/style, noise, etc. You'll be satisfied either way so long as your case airflow is where it should be.
