XP-90 for C2Q?

I'm going to a Core 2 Quad setup in the near future and am thinking about using my XP-90 to cool it. Will the XP-90 be adequate? Any OC headroom? Seems like it should perform better than an Intel stock HSF, but just thought I'd double check. Thanks.
 
itll do you pretty well probably. definitely better than the stock hsf. however, if you want a really serious overclock id say go for something that fits a 120mm fan and has the corresponding increase in surface area. 92x92 is about 60% of 120x120, so you can almost double your cooling area with a 120mm cooler like a true or megahalems, or a cheaper sunbeam cctf or xigmatek s-1283. i guess just try out your xp-90 when you install your new cpu, and if it doesnt get you the overclock you want and if you have room for something bigger then upgrade. the cctf and s-1283 are so cheap its ridiculous.
 
It will be adequate, but it will not be very capable of dealing with the added heat from an overclock. I would recommend that you purchase a better heatsink like the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 if you would like to overclock.
