XP-90 faces different ways depending on mobo?

Dont guess it really matters, but I noticed that the xp-90 I put on a MSI K8N Neo4-F last night points the opposite direction from the way I installed my xp-90 on my gigabyte mobo. Placement of the capacitors on the MSI board near the socket made impossible to put it on the other way. Anyone else notice this?
 
yes I noticed this. I have a Abit Av8 with the XP-90 and it sticks out towards the back of my case, over the northbridge chipset. My friend has a DFI nf3 AGP board and x2 4400+ and it didn't look like the xp-90 would fit. The mounting bracket is in a different direction and the heatsink did not look like it would be touching the whole cpu...he has teh stock heatsink on there now.

I tried lining it up but it did not look like the xp-90 would come close to covering the CPU..what gives.
