XP-90 + AMD 64 3000+ = Compatible?

well, the title pretty much says it all.. im in the market for a new heatsink, and the xp-90 with its great reviews and cheap price really caught my eye, but most retailers list it to be compatible with the 3200+ and up.. does anyone here run one on a 3000+? or does anyone know if the 2 are compatible?

XP-90 works on AMD64 3200+ and up, so I am sure it can handle a 3000+.

At least that is what it says on the Thermalright website.
 
Yes it will, it says 3200 and up because it can take the heat of a 3200 and up and since 3000 is slower and cooler it would work.

I have a xp-90 on my 3000+ and its not compatible. I get BSOD's all the time because the driver for the heatsink doesn't support the 3000+ cpu. I think its corrupting my memory too, darn stupid heatsink drivers.

i used an XP90 on a 3000+ whinnie. Got 25-28c average

Am now on a 3200+ Venice(thank you tech tour) Same HSF. Great thing. Same temps :)
