XP 2400+ OC problems

I've been trying to OC my AMD 2400+ (T-bred) but can only reach 2.28Ghz stable. After that Windows flakes out like crazy. I'm running 1GB 3200 mem on a Chaintech Apogee 7NJL1 with WC setup. Temp idle is about 38 C and 42 C under load. Anyone have any ideas on how to get higher clock rate?

Im running just under 2.4 on 1.725.

what fsb and multiplier are u at? temp? I'm trying to get as much info to find out where others are at so i can figure wher i should be at
