I've been looking at the instructions on the Arctic Silver website for applying AS5 to the Athlon64 IHS. Has anyone found them difficult to follow with the XP-120 'cos of it's limited range of movement? Does the XP-120 require a different method for optimal application of the AS5?
 
just a thin layer on the CPU is all you need.

its only there to fill in the cracks ;)
 
just put the reccomended glob in the center of the CPU heat spreader, and don't sweat the last step about twisting the heatsink side to side.
 
Everybody has their "own" favorite method, mine is applying a dab in the middle and using a credit card or something flat to create a thin layer over the IHS.
