K so I got word for xoxide today. Got a e-mail saying it was shipped, and it was that they charged me an extra 7.35 for shipping. In my CONFIRMED e-mail my cost was free shipping. Today said they were taking on money for shipping, can they do that?

i dont think so...

complain to them in an email and refuse the package

well still
5 fans for 15 bucks totaling 23.5 is still a good deal, and it was already shiped tho

Yikes, that's no good.

Give them a call, maybe they're answering their phones these days (?). :p

Good luck, let us know what happens! Consumer drama at its finest ;)

I am not here to bash on Xoxide, but lately people who bought off them weren't too happy with their purchases. They been getting their orders mixed up and they can't even contact customer service. So hopefully you can get a hold of them.

Check the threads from the past week....i've seen a lot of issues with them lately...i have never bought from them but based on what ive read lately i would be a little hesitant...

contact the BBB, they cant charge you for something they didnt quote you for beforehand.
if they wanted to charge you extra, they wouldve told you before they shipped.
also, call your credit card and file a complaint against them if they withdraw the $7.

Yeaha

They say 4-10 days Canadian Air Mail, total is $23.50

My mom told me that someone called asking if they could charge an extra 7.35 onto the price, she said yes, which I am okay with, hoever since when I checked out and it shows no shipping, it was misleading for me. HOWEVER THEY DID CALL MY HOUSE, SO SOMEONE IS ALIVE.

I will keep yall posted.

EDIT- btw, my tracking number is 03\09\04 funny ain't it? gg xoxide

Ouch... doesn't look like they're doing too well, which is really too bad.

Being Canadian, i've never actually bought from them, but it looks like their priecs are decent and they have a nice selection.

I've bought off of them before without any problems. The shipping did take a really long time though, compared to other online stores.

cough cough...NewEgg cough:D

i ordered on a monday morning and i got my stuff on wed. and free normal shipping!

got to love em:D

At least Xoxide ships to Canada and Newegg doesn't. By the way....I hope they hang Todd Bertuzzi by the balls!!!!

15 bucks for 5 fan was kinda low, however 23.50 is resonable.

xoxide sucks monkey dcik. I will never buy anything from them again EVER. Their customer service is non-existant.

It's a small miracle when they get a product out and ship it anyway. I am less than 20 miles from them, and it took them almost a month to get me a case that was IN STOCK.

thankfully my stuff is in the hands of a caring company, usps, or I hope that they ain't lying to me when they shiped it,

Sorry to burst your bubble but UPS is likely using your fan's shipping box as a soccer ball on lunch breaks.

i said usps, and you said ups, read my friend

I would bet that the "free shipping" is for US resident only. But thats only a guess. My 1 experience with Xoxide was quite nice.

So today I go downstares, and I see a letter from Purolator addressed to me. From a company called Fufilment LTD, with a place of export called UWA (washington?) I am getting billed 8.15, $5 import processing fee, and gst import and pbb services for another $3.15.
Coolerguys, where I got my other stuff a few days ago is located in washington, it says my customs value was 39.96? WTF is this bill for?
IF this is xoxide, I went from 15 bucks, to 23 bucks, now 39?

WTF

i ain't gonna pay it, just gonna wait time till my xoxide order ships, when I get home I am gonna call asking about it, I ain't gonna pay it tho,

when they caled they said they "forgot" to charge me shipping, yeaha gg, i ordered it from the website

damn,

are the fans good thou? lol. Im think im gonna go with the coolmaster ones on new egg insted.

haven't got them yet,
maybe they arrived today, i will look when i get home from school...

i was gonna get cm blue, but 10 bucks a pop canadian, thats 40 bucks + shipping, i just can't do that, i would get a zalman cual or soemthing

new egg has them for 5 for like 30, 10 for like 45...

how much is shipping to canada.. i'll buy some and import them to you :)

We put Xoxide in the dog house over at Designtechnica for doing similar things. We will not recommend them to anyone. They DO have a bad BBB rating and have been known to have their customers give them good ratings at Resellerratings.com in exchange for free products. I would avoid these guys at all costs.

Here is a link to the thread posted at Designtechnica where people complain about Xoxide. Even the owner of the company tried posting in here, he is very immature and it is reflected in their company's actions.

Forum moderators: Please do not delete this, Kyle would not mind that I posted this.

Thanks,

Wow, that sucks. You getting charged left and right for just case fans. Now your going to have to go thru all the hassle and stuff to try to settle this in your favor. Hope things turn out for the better.

*Note to self*
Never buy from Xoxide.

Heh, or atleast til they get their act together.

During march break, they would still deliver parcels, I think. Well, I am gonna give it to monday, they did say 4-10 day shipping, so wednesday should be enough. My dad is in Africa, so I'll drop him a e-mail. If it comes on the credit card bill, and I get my stuff, when should I cancel it?

Tommorow, I will call purolator and ask about who charged me for that, I really don't know what it is about. Since I did pay with my credit card, they CAN tack on aditional funds correct?

I do want my fans, however I thought I was gonna pay 15 bucks for them, then I get tacked with 7.someodd because there website forgot to charge me shipping, then I get purolator customs? What would you guys do?

I ordered March1st, 3 day shipping, taked a week to process, then they charge me an extra 7 bucks, then send it 4-10day, gg

LOL, the owner of Xoxide got busted for creating a duplicate account on DT's forum and pretending to be a satisfied customer. Page 4 if you're interested.

If the owner pulls crap like that, I know I'm taking my money elsewhere.

Here is a quick note on shipping to Canada from the US. Its a NO NO for inexpensive items. If you are only saving say 10 dollars, you are going to end up spending that in extra shipping, or brokerage fees, and the likes. Forget the US, and buy from Canada you will get a better price after the fact, and no bullshit.

Now for expensive items. Like a lens thats 600 Canadian plus tax and in the US I can get it for 299 (taxes and brokerage fees, and coversion its ends up being 469.99 Canadian). That is a good deal.

Cheers,

For $15 US worth of fans, it probably would have just gone over $20 CDN after conversion. When it's over $20 in value ($60 if it's a gift), customs charges a $5 handling fee and you have to pay PST and GST. This ain't that bad, better then UPS or Fedex ground, which would've charged you $20+ as a 'brokerage fee' made up of the taxes and a huge handling fee.

An exception for inexpensive items is if you bought from ebay or a Buy and Sell forum and the seller shipped using USPS as a gift. That way you'd only pay for shipping. But even then, you'd probably need to save more then $10 for it to be really worth the trouble.

Won a modded case from them on eBay 1-2 years ago.
Called them a month later "Where is my case?"
Called me back a week later "We shipped it off"
"No you didn't"
"Oh, okay, sorry, we'll ship it today"
and 2 days later it was on my doorstep
Good product, bad service

i am sure that the free shipping is only for us residents,
sdk:the extra money for shipping was not bad at all, considering the rates from the us to canada, especially if it was express mail.
which it was if it had tracking number, since tracking number on international packages over usps are only avilable thru expess mail or global priority, but it dont think that 5 fans would fit on the global priority packages.

i have never bought from xioxide, or whatever there name is, but you got what you paid for, the extra money charged by purolator, is normal and its charge to you by your goverment, not Xoxide.

they cannot and will not charge you anything else, they cant, plus they cannot charge you for the customs etc that you have to pay, since that has nothing to do with shipping charges. you might not get your stuff on monday, i dont know if you have to pay purolator first. also even though usps advertise shipping as 4-10 days, canadas system just plain sucks. so i dont think that you will get it on monday.

this example is why companys like newegg dont ship to canada, or any other international destination, because of the lawsof different countrys, canada for example does this to boost local business sales etc.

dont be mad at them because of the extra costs, its all the only way to send stuff to canada.
good luck

today, 3/29/04 I got my items. The total cost was

15 bucks for fans
7.25 for shipping
8 for customs

He did this about 4 times until his IP was banned altogether. Then he had his employees log into the forums and act like happy customers too.

Talk about shady...
