Xonar DX Crackling

My Xonar DX crackles lightly once I turn it up past a certain level. I am absolutely sure its the sound card. I've tried uninstalling the drivers, sweeping it with driver sweeper, then reinstalling newest. I've tried dusting the card, and tweaking with the settings in the software, and looking online for possible culprits.

I'm lost. :confused:

I think I might just ditch the damn thing and go onboard 100% from now on. I hear onboard is quite capable nowadays.
 
My sound crackles when I have my windows volume all the way up. Try putting it at 50.
