Back in november I bought a Xion 1100w gaming power supply for my future build, other than it wasnt modular, it was the greatest power supply ever! or so I thought.

My system runs 24/7 for folding and such, as well as running my server 2008 vm for anti virus.. well, I got a call early one morning that my basement was full of smoke...

The fan on the supply had failed, melted itself to the internal components, and caught fire. ruining itself, burning the outside of my 400 dollar case, wrecking the acrylic side panels, and damaging one of my 2 2tb WD green drives...


Beware guys, make sure you really check out a power supply before you buy it!
