which brand would I be better of going with for a 7600GT? I'm looking mainly at the eVGA 7600GT CO and the XFX 7600GT XXX, but am open to suggestions. Thanks.

my vote goes to eVGA too.. I actually jus upgraded to the 7600GT.. so far so good =]

better card= XFX

better customer service= EVGA

if your card runs great and do not need to do any RMA'ing etc then XFX rules

BFG, hey they have a toll free support line and they answer the damn phone. They rma fast if it is necessary. Best card manufacturer i have dealt with.

WZ

money is on eVGA. if i remember right you can OC and change heatsinks as long as you dont physicly damage the card.
if you see my sig i have an XFX but didnt really have a choice on that one

I'd love to know how the XFX cards are better, but my vote goes straight to eVGA for their ridiculous warranty.

i still want to know how xfx is a better card, considering they are both reference cards, albeit using varying speeds.

Yeah.. same card, different registry setting upon install, which can be changed by the user at any point anyway ;)

It all comes down to after the sale..The cards are basically all the same so thats when the company comes into play. How well do they take care of you when you need them..Ive always liked BFG but now Im riding the EVGA wave..

I like evga myself, done stepup and like the CS....though ive never dealt with xfx but you cant lose with either choice. Comes down to $$.

thanks for all the input, I think ill go with the eVGA because I might want to do the step up later.

I don't have experience with EVga, but my experience with XFX customer service was wonderful. I got a DOA 7900 GT from them (worked in 2d, mass artifacting and shutdowns in 3d). After a whopping 2 minutes on hold, I got a very helpful tech who walked me through a ton of things (unnecessary, it was clearly dead, but I didn't want to give up my new card), actually listened to responses, and eventually told me the quickest way to get it replaced.

Now, I've only had one xfx card and it was DOA, so I dunno if that's a mark against.

I had a DOA 7800GT and sent it back to them for an RMA, and they sent me a used card with a scratched up fan cover and dust coated fan. Prepare to receive the same.
