XFX geforce 6800gt agp

anyone out there have the dual dvi version of this gfx card, if so how is it, im probably going to order 1 next week if i dont find something better in that price range of 350.

how is xfx's line of geforce 6800's?


plz dont offer ati cards, i honestly hate ati with a passion (literaly took a shotgun to my old radeon 9700 pro)
im looking for a geforce 6800 gt agp in the range of 350-375 with dual dvi out on it (using dual viewsonic vp171b-2 lcds :D)

roughly if u know of a brand which makes a more "solid" card than XFX's geforce 6800gt 256mb agp8x /w dual dvi, plz recomend it i only got 375 to spend and am using onboard graphics so i want to be ordering a new card within the week.
 
call me a hic but i have a nasty habbit of taking old computer parts that suck or die and shooting them with a shotgun, i dunno about the rest of you but shit..... watching a card shatter with a cold beer in ur hand almost brings a tear of satisfaction to your eyes.. :D :D :D
 
Hello, brand new member, long time H reader.

I JUST recieved my XFX 6600GT AGP last night. Here's some initial impressions.

Overall pretty good. Card feels and looks solid. My card comes with the newer heatsink and its BIG and heavy, but not to heavy to rip the card out of the socket. Definitely some quality there.

Its dual dvi and comes with 2 dvi to hd15 adapters, very nice. Beyond that there's not much to say about the software and and Svideo cable included.

I loaded up doom and HL and ran some quick benches on my northwood 2.4 system, heres what I got:

doom 3 1024x768 noaa noaf - 57fps
doom3 1024x768 4xaa noaf - 38fps
HL2 1280x1024 4xaa 8xaf - 35fps

Coming from a GF4 Ti4400 where I was stuck playing doom3 at 640x480 at medium and getting headache inducing <30 fs, I'm really happy about this card. So far no complaints.
 
koolness ill probably buy mine monday or something. ither that or my friend is looking into how much of a discount on a geforce 6800ultra he would get.
