XFX Card is driver dependent ?

Hi,

I just brought a XFX 6800 card. I used the latest 77.72 driver and the video player back (WMV and DVD) is very bad. So I switched back to driver shipped with the package (62.xx) and it worked great. I also tried the beta driver 80.40. Again the video playback is back while 3D gaming is normal. Now I am using the driver DL from XFX site. And I am under the impression that the XFX card is driver dependent.

By the way, all the above is done with a fresh install of XP.

That is a well-known issue with the latest Nvidia drivers. It's not just you. All you have to do to fix it is go to the color correction settings, set to "apply to all" and then hit apply. Problem fixed.
 
I really wish NV would release new official drivers with this bug fixed soon so ppl stop getting frustrated with it!
