XFX 7970 Core Edition owners thread?

Hey guys. For the life of me I can't find any threads anywhere for us XFX 7970 Core edition owners. Lots of black edition reviews out there, and double D reviews and owner threads... but not much doing for CE owners. So I wanted to get a thread going. Specifically, I'm interested in hearing about people's clock speeds, overclock successes/fails, temperatures, and this thing in GPU-Z called ASIC quality.



I'll get things started. Using just the default CCC, with no changes to voltage or whatever, I can push both GPU and Memory sliders all the way to the right, and leave them there gaming for hours on end with no problems. So the factory speeds on this thing are 925/1375 but I've been at 1125/1575 for weeks.

No artifacts, no glitches, no lock ups etc. Stress temps (playing BF3, Skyrim etc) take the card into 73-74 degree range while OC'd. With just the stock fan, I haven't tried messing with MSI afterburner, Trixx or anything else to see how far I can push it.

Edit: Ok found out that the slides on Tech Power up site were misleading and the render test has nothing to do with getting the ASIC value. You get the ASIC value just by right clicking the utility menu bar and selecting Read ASIC quality.

Mine's 74%. I don't know what it means, exactly.
 
Why do you need an owner's thread for a reference 7970? The XFX version is exactly the same as all the others.
 
Ooooooh count me in. But yeah like burninggrave says... all reference models are exactly the same. Although did get a cool "Do Not disturb I'm Gaming" door hangar :)
