First off hello everyone. My problem is this: I am running two xfx 6950's flashed to 6970's. They are the 2gb edition and I am trying to install a Nvidia geforce 6 series card as a physics adapter. I have downloaded the physics mod but my computer will NOT recognize the card at all. I am running an MSI big bang x power 1366 with an I7 920 overclocked to 4.03 GHZ with 24gb of ram. I am lost at this point anyone know my issue or any help?

have you tried installing the geforce as the main graphics card to make sure it works that way?

What OS you running?

I am actually running xDark RG4.8 which is Windows 7 ultimate but with a lot more abilities and no i have not tried installing as the main graphics card yet but i will try and let you know the outcome i appreciate the help.

I tried to boot it but it wont show any video now do i have to remove my 2 6950s or no?

I'ld remove the 6950's and try to see if the Geforce is recognized when it's in alone.

ok thanks for the input. i also ahve one other question. I have the NZXT phantom case with the msi big bang x power x58 mobo exactly how close can i put my two 6950 with my nvidia 9800gt? all three of these cards are the reference cards and take up two slots am i asking for trouble?

you will be fine with all 3 cards installed as long as you have a good cfm fan in the front and good 120s in the side panle to bring cool air into your case

I have excellent fan with a 5000 rpm 120 server fan in front of case but the cards are awefully close

server fan is a little overkill but the cards will be fine just watch the temps dont get real high and keep your cables hidden for better airflow

I thought you needed at least a G-Force 8 series card for physx..Look it up ..
Any CUDA-ready GeForce graphics card (series 8 and newer, with a minimum of 32 cores and 256MB of video memory[14]) can take advantage of PhysX

yeah frost i figured that out so i got an evga 9800gt but now i have three dual slot cards and they do fit BUT very closely. I think that i kind of got it to work gpuz says i have physics but everything is saying my 9800 is my main card in slot 0? im lost

Yeah slot 0 should be 1st slot then slot 1 and so on..They start numbering at 0..
