So I purchased a 6870 in december of 2010 around when it was first coming out.
It worked well up until just yesterday when I had a friend over to lan Day Z and he used my spare system. The windows boot logo was artifacting like crazy and the desktop was just black with pink and green lines placed randomly. It looked like a colourfull missingo.
Anyways I went through all the parts in the system and finally was content to conclude the GPU was dead. I plugged in an old xfx4850 and it worked just fine.

So I need to RMA the card but I dont have all the information from that purchase anymore.
I know it was newegg on december 2010 and I know its within the limited warranty and atop of that Im still using the same address I was when I bought it.

Who here has sent in an RMA request with XFX and how did you do it.
I dont want any horror stories I just want to know the extent of the information you needed.

Unless you registered the card when you bought it, it no longer has the lifetime warranty. There should have been a tacky door-knob placard that was essentially the warranty information.

Oh I didn't register it so yeah it has the two year warranty, got it.
Ok so the door knob has what I need to know! got cha.

You'll need the invoice and you can get that from your order history on Newegg. After that just go to their website and set up an account. Once you have an account go to support and submit an RMA request.
