Yay for dead ballistix. I wasn't even pushing these things. A 1x2GB pair of ddr2 800 @ 800 @ 1.9v = dead ram? :rolleyes:

I had to grab some dumpy PNY 667 to hold me over. At least it was only $65 @ BB.

I'm starting to hate this chipset.
 
I know the d9's like to take a nose dive with 2.2+ and no active cooling, but that wasn't the case here.

I kept it @ 1.9v for everyday use. 2.2v for ddr2 1000/benching, which was rarely.

Gotta be the board.

This is purely anecdotal evidence, and plenty of people enjoy their 680 chipsets, but there is a LOT of anecdotal evidence if you look around these boards with this chipset blowing up ram in a fabulous fashion.

Though in fairness the LT versions have been traditionally more stable.
