xfx 6800gt problems

well im at a loss. my xfx 6800gt isnt working right. what happanes is that screen corruption that usually happens when you forget to plug in the molex connector. problem is i have the power connected.

-i tried it with fast writes enabled and disabled.
-i tried setting agp aperture from 128 to 256.
-i enabled agp 8x.
-the power supply powers the other components just fine.
-the graphics card post, and the motherboard post look perfect until i try to enter the bios or install windows. then i have these multi colored streaks and missing or misplaced letters all over the screen.
-i have taken the card out and reseated it
-i have also tried using the dvi connecter instead of the regular vga.
-the fan spins and is cooling the heatsink quite well.
-my mobo temperature is 93f and my proc temp is 115f.
-my atx 12 volt is at 11.939 volts
-i have tried different connectors on the psu.


all to no avail.

what really sucks is that i ordered it august 4th and it got here august 23rd. i just moved out into the country and my post office is an hour away. is there anything else i can try or am i going to have to go through an excruciating rma process?

my specs are as follows:

asus k8n-e nforce3 250gb mobo
athlon 64 3200+ 512k 2.2ghz
1 gig corsair ddr400 value cas 2.5
xfx 6800gt
antec true 480 watt power supply
audigy 2 zs
seagate 120 gig sata

RMA it, sounds like bad RAM on the card.
