XFX 5870 problem with video

i have 3 24 inch hp lp2465's in a 3x portrait mode. each one is 1920x1200 resolution.

before i got my display port dongle i had a 2600xt driving the third hp monitor.

videos played fine when i dragged windows media player to full screen across the 3 monitors. i had seti running and firefox windows open.

since i got the display port adapter i removed the 2600xt and hooked up the third monitor to the 5870. it displays fine, but everything seems laggy now, windows, video, only slightly less laggy if i turn off seti. note before seti was running and the videos even HD played fine across the 3 monitors.

is this normal? i uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and no go. what happens if i just leave the third monitor connected to the 2600xt if i put it back in the computer? will eyefinity still wrok or will the third monitor get its frames from the 2600xt?

i reinstalled windows. still getting bsods. it must be the card

i did not notice the problems with the 5870 only powering 2 displays

do you have another system you could test it in? seems like you do, seeing the sig. thats how you can tell 100% if its the card

considering my system was fine and bsod free before installing i say its a safe bet what caused it, especially since i reinstalled windows and am still getting bsods.

try running the cpu at stock speeds, just to see what happens.

it was stable for over a year at its current setting?
