XFX 5850 problem

I was one of the people that got a XFX 5850 from the deal with hardocp recently. I used it in a friend's build that I did yesterday and he is having some artifacting problems seen here. He says it is only happening when the graphics card drivers are installed and he has tried multiple drivers. It is a brand new machine and has a i5 750, P55 mobo, and a corsair 650watt PSU. Is this a common problem or does anyone know what to do?

He says its even there at the login screen when he reboots.
