I've recently replaced stock XFX cooling with Accelero TTP and (after peaking 130C with FurMark on stock speeds) Thermalright VRM-R2.
One thing baffles me now - I am reading significant temperature differentials per VDDC phase and can't understand why would that be so or is that behaviour normal. I've googled left and right and eventually came up short with that, so I thought of conferring with the experts here.
I've used AS5 as thermal compound both for GPU and VRM - the compound is placed uniformly and thinnly both on the GPU/VRM surface with a credit card (the heatsinks have also been treated as advised on Arctic Silver web-page manual).
VRM-R2 is securely and tightly fastened with a couple of washers.
This is a direct output from GPU-Z (Everest seems to show only the smallest VRM temperature, so can't use that here).
Ambient temperature cca 23-25C.
Idle:
GPU Temperature [°C] - 39.0
VDDC [V] - 1.1000
VDDC Current [A] - 12.2
VDDC Phase #1 Temperature [°C] - 35
VDDC Phase #2 Temperature [°C] - 38
VDDC Phase #3 Temperature [°C] - 44
FurMark load (highest temperature recorded, after cca 8.5 minutes of test):
GPU Temperature [°C] - 62.0
VDDC [V] - 12.625
VDDC Current [A] - 55.5
VDDC Phase #1 Temperature [°C] - 58
VDDC Phase #2 Temperature [°C] - 77
VDDC Phase #3 Temperature [°C] - 103
What could possibly make such drastic temperature differentials? I don't think I "overdid" the AS5 layer, I made sure of that. I also can't notice that heatsink is misaligned or something similar.
Any thoughts?

P.S. I today discovered that AS5 is slightly capacitive and should not be placed around open pins and such. Well luckily, VRMs are naked as they get! Is there a large risk of shorting something should a tiny amount of AS5 get somewhere where it's supposed not to? What do you recommend I should do?
