Well. If you want the 5inch sound drive then get the Platinum. If you dont need it, get the xtreme music.

For one, you will have a front panel headphone jack that will auto switch the card to heapdhone mode and disable the speakers when you plug in your headphones. (It can be set to ignore headphones as well)

Thats got to be worth a few hours of aggravation trying to rig up the front panel jacks on most cases to do the same...without even resetting speaker/headphone modes.


Then you also get some nice shiny volume controls for the microphone and heapdhone, and a front panel optical in and out; you also get a couple of real BTL input/output jacks; you also get a nice remote control for a media center type player applet.

The non-front panel card doesnt give you any of that.
