Every once in a while, i cant open up the xfi control panel or mode switcher and I get the error "CTIntrfc.dll cannot be found. re-installing the application may fix this problem." That DLL is in the shared folder. This happened to me once before, but its really annoying.

i should know better than that...

"Here's how I fixed this problem on my PC:

I did a search of my entire hard drive for CTIntrfc.dll and found it in the folder

C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files

As the apps were telling me they couldn't find it I tried adding it to the Path Environment Variable.

To do this in Windows XP:

Go to the System Properties requestor (right-click on "My Computer" icon on desktop and select Properties, or open Control Panel and double-click on System icon)

Click the "Advanced" tab.

Click the "Environment Variables" button at the bottom of the requester.

In the "System variables" list, scroll down and select the "Path" variable.

Click the "Edit" button.

Press the "End" button on your keyboard to move the insertion cursor to the end of the Path string.

Enter the following:

;C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files

Note the semicolon in front - very important!

Click the "OK" button to save your change, then click "OK" on the "Environment Variables" requestor to apply it.

Click "OK" to close the "System Properties" requestor.

Life should now be good :)"
