Xeon x5670 vs. x5570

[Deadjasper]

The x5670 can be had on eBay for about $100 - $125. The x5570 for about $25.

Is the x5670 really worth 4 times the price of a x5570?

What am I missing here?

Thanks

Huge difference between x5500 and x5600 chips, mainly 4 cores vs 6 cores, and 45nm vs 32nm. Basically the difference between the i7 920 and 980. I would get a x5650 or x5660, they are cheaper and overclock just as good.

at 100$ the X5670 its already a bargain... the X5670 its a 6 cores 12 threads 32nm chip.. while the X5570 its a 4 cores 8 threads 45nm chip.. to give a fast answer.. the X5670 its overall a much better chip.. and way better overclocker... it worth every cent.. over the X5570.
