ok .. for some reason lately I'm starting to get random reboots .. I'll just be sitting do normal stuff and boom my comp just restarts .. it can be during a game or when I'm just web surfing .. I'm thinking it may be my temps are out of line finally .. maybe fans getting old ?

I'm checked Sisoft Sandra it it says that Proc 1 is at 104°F and Proc 2 is at 104°F .. that is at idle right now with IE open and some background processes running .. right after one of the reboots I checked temps it was was around Proc 1 at 106°F and Proc 2 at 108°F .. and my VPU is sitting at 64°C ..

now the VPU temp seems fine to me .. but I'm guessing my Xeons are running hot ...

If the general concensus is that they are running hot can I get some recommendations for a new/better cooler .. I currently just have the stock Wind Tunnel setup that is stock for em .. and as much as I'd like to .. Water Cooling is out of the question right now .. just don't have the cash ...

please help .. this is starting to get really annoying .. thanks in advance ...

EDIT: right after I hit submit it did it again .. temps were 106.7F and 108.5F as soon as I rebooted

106°F = 41°C That should be fine. (heck here in Phx outside temp regularly reaches 125°F every summer, at 106°F your CPU is running cooler than my sidewalk)

Look elsewhere for your problem. (software buggy? Spyware? Virus? Power Supply Voltage Flux? Leaking Capacitors? etc. etc.)

thanks for the reply .. I'm about 99% sure that Steam is the culprit .. since this only happens when Steam is running .. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't running to hot ...

thanks ...
