I got in two new Dell PE2950 III recently and I have enabled VM in the BIOS. I haven't noticed any difference yet with it enabled so I was curious as to what the setting gives the server performance wise if any.

Running VMware ESXi BTW.

Thanks

I'd recommend reading this topic on the subject.

In short, with VT enabled in the BIOS you are now able to run 64bit guests. The performance increase would be nothing to small, depending on the workload and how that workload utilises memory.
