xeon 3060 SUPER HOT TEMPS??!?!

hey guys

i need ur help!

i have a xeon 3060 632a and its prime stable at 3.4 with 1.33 volts (real) for 13 hours... the problem is the freaking temps, im running a big typhoon on it and the idle temps are 46 c for one core and 49 for the other. then under load it hit 65 C in orthos (it does stay stable though despite those temps (13 hours small fft), ALSO BOTH SURFACES ARE LAPPED to 1500 grit. i was thinking it might be the thermal paste cuz its this no name stuff, so should i go in for a new thermal paste? i tried re-seating it many times and this is the best i could do.

should i get new thermal paste?

Are you sure the lapping was done correctly?

ya, i did the same process with my e6400 and (same big typhoon) and it was at 3.2, 1.34 volts, idled at 30 and maxed at 50 orthos.

What program are you using to report temps? 65C is nothing to stress about although i would think better from a big typhoon. I peak at 73c during occt and i don't mind. I know I'll never hit that temp playing games and such.
