XCP remote management without windows?

I may be missing something obvious, please point it out if i am.

I have an opensolaris (sometime changing to openindiana) file server on a physical box, and XCP 0.1.1 installed on another box.

My problem is that I don't have any physical boxes installed with windows now, and don't really care to (and no non-oem licenses to use in a VM)

so I have access to an Ubuntu, opensuse, and slackware box, and would like to get some kind of remote management for the xen could box rolling.

I've looked around in the available Ubuntu 'app store', and been reading the Xen wiki, and haven't found an answer yet.

Just a link to a page where i can continue on would be great, or are there not linux tools for this and/or I don't understand the concept/place of XCP?

Same boat here, i might be converting to Proxmox, because there simply is no really easy way to manage a esxi-xen server from mac or linux / unix..

I've been able to salvage windows xp licenses from dead/recycled machines, as well as getting them on ebay for cheap. Completely changing your hypervisor because you don't want to spend a few bucks seems somewhat over-reactive to me...

not really.

Well, licenses you take from dead machines, unless built yourself, were probably OEM too. I was more looking for sugggestions for remote tools (or any tools, Xen cloud doesnt seem to have any either to create VMs) or if I am not using XCP correctly, like needing to use a different Xen hypervisor with it. Especially Xen seems like it shouldn't need a windows box to admin. I know the new VMWare admin client uses Java, so should be cross-platform, it's curious if Xen isnt.

I was apparently just being bad at search terms, I found that other people have got XenCenter to work with WINE. I have not had success yet, but haven't put a bunch of time into it either.

Then I found out about openxenmanager
http://www.linuxreaders.com/2010/08/12/openxenmanager-xencenter-alternative/#.T7UIo6Xn5O0 is an article about it.

The openxenmanager page appears to not be working currently, but it is on sourceforge here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/openxenmanager/?source=directory

along with another project, xenwebmanager, here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xenwebmanager/?source=directory

I'm going out of town tonight for the weekend, so will have to wait until next week to try them out, will update when I get an impression of one or both of these.
