So i got an xclio 450 BL to prepare for a massive upgrade to something requiring 24pin/sata/pci-e connectors, etc.

but for the time being it's powering my A7N8X/OC'd 1700+ @ 2.2/1.65v/2x512 DDR/X800GTO OC'd, 2 hdd's and 2 optical drives, plus 3 120mm and an 80mm fan

idle, all voltages are rock solid where they should be.
3.3 is at 3.29, 12 is 12.54, and 5 is 4.97. rock solid.

under load of prime95 though, 12 goes UP to 12.80 and 5v drops to 4.78.

Are these acceptable ranges or do i just need to jump on ahead to a mobo that draws from the 12v for CPU?

That's because you're cross loading the crap out of that poor PSU.

That Asus board is notorious for destroying ATX12V power supplies.

Put your old power supply back in there until you're ready to upgrade your motherboard.

well.

since i'm not really loading the PSU that much i just dropped my overclocks alot.

5v is now 5v dead even idle, and 4.9 under both cpu and video card load (cpu at about 60w draw instead of 80)

same result with prime95 alone.
the thing is though. my entire computer is using only around 190 watts under load according to my UPS right now, 220 or so with everything OCd, not the most demand for a 450w psu.
