I saw a digg article that amazon will be selling 1000 units of the xbox360 core system for $100 a piece. i want to grab one, and i was considering running it through my laptop and maybe a hdtv [if i rob a bank] later. my question is, can i run it to my computer via dvi/vga cable? will the cable come with the system? if i can, will it scale well at 1920x1200 or will it be streched/squashed?

only if your laptop is the coolest one ever with a DVI in.... most(all) dvi on laptops or any PC for that matter have out with coax, component, s-video etc..... in

the xbox 360 has an available vga cable but not dvi. You cannot connect the 360 to a pc but you can connect it to a hdtv. the stretched image should not be to bad but if you get a monitor like the dell 2407wfp with 1:1 pixel mapping then you can use it with black bars on top and bottom. How do you get the 360 for $100?????????

I'm about 99.999999999999999999 percent sure it will only be available to 1000 people precisely in the pacific standard time zone.

You can still dream for that .000000000000000001 % chance a worm hole will open up allowing you to snatch one up from the east coast. ;) :p

The OP is obviously confused. There is definitely no DVI input on your laptop, so forget hooking it up to your laptop for HD quality. The best video input on a PC is S-video or maybe component.
