I just got an Xbox I know i can put audio on it from and audio cd. which is slow. Can I burn an MP3 CD and can the Xbox get the audio from that and then put it on its hard drive? and how big it the stock hard drive?

No, the Xbox doesn't read mp3s it just rips audio cds to wma, so a disk with mp3s won't work.

and how big it the stock hard drive?

8GB.

i think the stock hd is 8gigs big and i don't know if you can copy mp3's to it....unless you have an OS installed.

but evox isn't necessarily illegal. warrantee voiding, yes. illegal, no. i back up all my games to HDD so they run/load faster

its great for rentals, if i rent a game for 5 days from hollywood i'll rip it to the hdd, usually its a poorly kept disc anyway and this way it pays better.

Also you should note that only 1 out of three kinds of xbox dvd drives can read CD-Rs reliably. (Samsung drives can - you can identify them easily as they have a couple dime sized holes in the DVD tray)

You won't be able to listen to the MP3s when playing games even if you get them on to the hard drive - it only can handle WMA files. You could use dbpoweramp to convert them - but sound quality will suffer.
