I thought there was a console forum, but I didn't see it so this is the only place that I thought to ask. ANyway is there a way to look through the xbox hard drive form another computer hooked up via the ethernet connection? The purpose would be to try and hack some of the save game files and cheat on them For all those who have a problem with cheating on games take your flaming and start your own thread. I just want to open up a few of my KOTOR files and max out the stats. Thank you

prolly not without a mod chip

however you can buy a memory card with usb

as far as hacking it i have no idea

You need to go to xbox-scene.com thats all there is to it. And yes you need a mod chip to do that. Posibbly a Action Replay but thats a long shot with KOTOR. All your questions will be answered there. Good Luck.

i wonder how this thread compares to that other thread about xboxes that involved mod chips (although this didn't directly start out related to that)

You could hot-swap the hdd to get the files.

No you can't, the xbox hard drives uses a different directory structure. Windows can't read it.

Thanks everyone for your help but the main reason that I asked about using the ethernet jack is because I wanted to be able to cheat on this game without opening up my box.

Not possible. To access the HD via the ethernet cable you need to run some unsigned code to do it - and for that you need to modchip your xbox - which involves opening it. A computer also cannot read the directory structure of an XBox.

For the record: No you don't need a modchip to run unsigned code. Yes your PC can read an xbox hdd. The only way I see you getting those files is hot-swaping as said before or using the mech/007 trick.
