I'm more frustrated with the xbox one than any other console ever. I think I'll just unplug the cables hdmi from the xbox and plug it back into the tv for now.

Currently the system must be on to use pass thru. This system doesn't use a lot of power while doing non gaming tasks it's designed to be on all the time.

My DVR does HDMI and component at the same time. So I have component running to my TV to use if I don't want to turn the XO on.
I don't know if i want to have it idle and draw 70W just to allow me to pass through TV.
I'm also doing the HDMI / Component trick also, so i can turn the xbox off.
Understandable I don't have a service provider box (you wouldn't believe how much power those use!) They draw more power than my media center PC!
