Been having nothing but trouble since setting up an Xbox One for my son. During set up,I successfully activated a prepaid 12 month Live Gold account. A bit later,I received an e-mail showing my account had been charged for the membership that I had already paid for when I bought the prepaid card. I contacted support, who remedied the situation by removing the charge by canceling my Live subscription, and supplying me with a new code to activate my Gold account. The problem is the code results in an error message. I also now cannot make any purchases, all my payment options show up,but none of them work, despite the fact that Microsoft had no problem using my primary payment card to erroneously charge me for an extra Live subscription. Looking at the Xbox forums, this seems to be growing problem with Xbox One users, one that didn't exist with the 360,and MS seems unable to find a fix for it. People are unable to redeem codes or make purchases with accounts that worked fine on the 360.
