Hey all,
I have a Dell 2005FPW monitor, and I recently purchased a video device to allow me to record my home movie on VHS to DVD through this adapter:

http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSi...ome+Video/Dazzle/Digital+Video+Creator+90.htm

Then I thought, I'll hook it up to the xbox and play a little halo - Yup. It worked, but only in a small window inside Pinnacle's video recording software.

Anybody know of software that would be compatible with this video capture unit, but not record to disk, just stream? I would love to play xBox on my new Dell monitor.

cheers.

The best method is to get a transcoder device, so component cables come into the box from the xbox, then the transcoder has VGA output to the monitor. X2VGA is one

Pardon the thread jack/drift but I didn't want to crowd the board with another x-box topic.

I did a search but was unsuccessful so if this thread already exist please point me in the right direction.

Now then, I have a 2405FPW and before I spend the money for component cables, is it worth it to hook up an x-box to the 2405 or should I just stick to my (non-HD) TV? Of my games I have 3 that are 480p, 3 that are 720p, and the others don't specify.

Thanks.

Well the Xbox looks good on the 2005FPW. The only issue is that most Xbox games are 480p 4:3 so you either get black bars or a distorted picture. Amped 2 on the otherhand at 720P looks great
