Xbox (not 360) to DVI/VGA only LCD? HOW?

So while I'm waiting to pick up a 360 Elite, I dug out my old Xbox. I have my PS3 connected via a HDMI to DVi cable to my Dell LCD which only has DVi/VGA connections. Is there a way to connect my Xbox to this thing? I've seen some hacks but they look involved. Anyone done this before? Thanks!

You have to mod the system and add a VGA output, and it will only work with some games. It's far from ideal, but it's the only way that doesn't involve buying more hardware.

You could always buy a capture card and run it through that via your PC, or buy a component/composite/SVIDEO to VGA converter box, but that's going to run you $25-100, and with the capture cards you have to be careful not to get one with very high latency.
