XBOX HD-DVD Games??

Sorry if this has been posted.

Seeing as the XBOX will have the HD-DVD drive as an additional accessory that you need to buy will they ever make games on a large scale for it? Seeing as in order for someone to play that game they would be forced to buy the new drive?
Will there be a lag factor in the USB connection?

Just curious to see what kind of information there is on this topic.
 
Yeah, they probably can't make HD-DVD games if not everyone has the HD-DVD drive for sure. And I'm sure if they did, there would be massive lag. Think about what it would be like running a game off a portable USB hard drive, then slow it down some for seek time on the HD-DVD drive. Slooooow.

It's different on PC were people don't have a legitimate excuse for not having a DVD drive.
 
There is no reason for them to put the games on the HD-DvD drive. Xbox games are already in High def it would be pointless to use more expensive disks than you need.
 
As time moves on DVD9 discs are gonna be getting cheaper and cheaper in a year or two you will probably start seeing some games on multiple discs.
