or the MN-740 which is what I use.. and prefer since I'm very far away from my AP. I have both the MN740 and that one and the MN740 works better because I can position it where ever I want.

yeah... it only works with WEP or no sec... The placement of my 360 forces me to use the MN740, I guess. I use a WRT54G and the Xbox 360 WIreless adapter won't hold a connection so that's why I use the MN740 w/ WEP.
 
So what does one go with if they have a long range(other side of house, up one floor) between the xbox360 and AP?
And I would prefer to use WPA2...

Picked up a cheap (~$30) WRT54G, flashed it with Tomato firmware, set it to Wireless Ethernet Bridge mode and your all done. Not to mention you get 4 ports to plug wired stuff in to and you aren't limited to just using the Xbox with it. I have all the devices in my entertainment center that have Ethernet ports plugged into mine.

I can attest to this... maybe not as "easier" to implement, but a far better solution.

No, you'll drop every third frame or so streaming over wireless which will be very choppy. If you want to stream HD content then you need to wire the xbox to the network.

Its a good solution, but not as mobile. Its more to carry to a friends house and once you get their you will need a pc to change your settings.
