I fixed a RROD console and decided to add some cooling fans to hopefully avoid future problems. I also decided to try to use only parts I had lying around to do it, hence the quick and dirty. Here are the pics.
The 80mm fan on top and the on off switch. I decided to run the extra fans off their own power supply (Modified 12v DC Converter)
The small fan in the side/bottom. Not sure what size it is, found it in a pile of parts I have. Its the perfect size though!
Power connection
Adjustable 12v DC converter. This is the only part I had to purchase
.
I missed the placement for the switch the first time, so there is a small hole in the top. I used hot glue to mount both fans, and soldered all the wiring connections. It may not look so great, but it works very well.
Well anyways, thought I would toss the pics up here for fun.
