Xbox 360 problem

Well, I plugged in a thumb drive to my old xbox 360 to get some files off it to put on my new xbox. When I plugged it in to my new xbox, I went to system settings > storage, and then it locked up. Every single time I plugged the thumb drive in it would either a) lock up or b) not read it.

Wtf is up?
