Xbox 360 on SyncMaster 305T?

I was wondering if the Samsung SyncMaster 305T could work with the xbox 360. I ask this because it doesn't have a VGA input. Would a VGA to DVI cable work? Also, how would that monitor work for mainly gaming? Should I invest my money into something cheaper?

I was also looking at the LG 37LB5 but couldn't find any reviews. And I found the Sharp LC-37GP1U but think the LG spec's look better. Any comments?

All 30" monitor panels have no scalar and DVI-D inputs only. You could use an HDMI->DVI if you have the 360 elite. Note though that it will drop to 1280x800 resolution no matter what. If you want a monitor that is also great for the 360 look at the 24/27 panels, or one of the 37" TVs.

Hmm... so a VGA to DVI cord wouldn't work. The only 27" I could find were a Dell 2707WFP and a Samsung SyncMaster 275T. They seem kind of expensive considering I can get a Sharp LC-32GP1U with an extra 5 inches and a better contrast ratio for the same price.

Also, do most PC games support the 1920x1080 resolution? I would be really disappointed if I bought an LCD TV to use as a PC monitor and most of the games don't support it. What do you think about one of the 37" I listed in my first post?
