Hi,
I recently bought the Gateway FPD2185W and plugged my friend's 360 into the component inputs. 1080i looked pretty good, but 720p (which I assume was scaled up) looked terrible. I know that LCD video scaling isn't too great, but I'm just wondering whether what I saw was normal. 720p was very pixelated - it looked like a JPG image which had been stretched out in MS paint. I've noticed this similar look on many other PC games too, when playing on something other than the monitor's native resolution of 1680x1050, such as 1440x900. My friend's LCD which has a native res of 1280x1024 looked fine when using 1024x768, so I was just wondering whether the pixelated, jaggy look was normal. It would be especially helpful if someone could post pictures of their monitor using 1440x900.
Thanks.
