Ok well this is specifically about my monitor but i guess it applies to any 1680x1050 monitor that doesnt support 1:1 mapping. Is there any resolution setting that actually works well without stretching the image on this monitor? I've tried everything but the only setting that doesnt seem to affect aspect ratio is the 1920x1080 setting (which i was confused as to how the monitor ran it) But that was too big for the monitor to display all the image, it cut off the edges, presumably showing a 1680x1050 window into the bigger image but thats just my guess.

Anyways i can't be the only guy in this situation so whats the best resolution + normal/widescreen setting?

The 1360x768 resolution looks the best for me.

1280x1024 just looks weird to me, especially on widescreen. On Normal it looks fine but when I play my games it gives me the little black bars. I have a 20" screen and since it's a little small I want to utilize all space available.

1360x768 looks better quality wise to me too.
