Xbox 360, LCD or Projector?

After using my lowly dell 2001fp, which is supposed to be good for gaming lol, I'm dumping it for a CRT. All that blurring on those good graphics drive me nuts.
 
well its up to you, do you want a huge screen with slight loss in quality (not much) or a small high res screen?

if you have friends over a lot, get the projector, but if you spend most of your gaming time a lone, i'd get the lcd

Just watched Alien vs. Predator on HBOHD tonight, IQ was incredible at 1080i. GT4 also looks awesome at 1080i. It does everything I want a TV to do perfectly, like I said I'm not a big TV person so I didn't think I needed to shell out the big bucks for a SONY with the most current technologies, and I was right.

I hooked up my rig to it through DVI the other night for fun, desktop was a little blurry, but my 1080i HD videos looked absolutely stunning and games looked good as well. But it's a pain in the ass to move my rig around so I don't think I'll do it again, lol. :D
 
Excellent, thanks for the info. Sounds like what im looking for, I have 2 2005fpw for the PC. I am just looking for an affordable next gen ready tv:)

yea thats exactly what i can't decide tho becuz i have friends over a lot but then again i will be playing alone a lot too.......

Well, heres how i see it. Playing on a projector is only fun if you have atleast a few people with you having fun with it.. I'd rather play alone on my crappy 19in (with the worst sound i've ever heard) alone, then play alone on a projector, it just seems strange to me.. but then again, i'll never play on a regular TV with friends again, a projector makes it about a 1000 times better in a group.

If i were you, i'd pick up a decent projector, and maybe one of those phillips flat screens for like 300 on the phillips outlet site. You can get a good projector for 700ish now.. then you'd get the best of both worlds

thats actually a good idea i could have a projector for movies and xbox360 when my friends are over, and use the extra lcd i am using with my computer right now for the xbox360 when im playing alone, and i could just buy the vga adapter......Thanks a lot!
